This advanced workshop moves beyond reviewing Quality Measures to teaching participants how MDS coding, documentation, interdisciplinary practice, and clinical decision-making influence Quality Measures, Five-Star ratings, survey outcomes, and organizational performance.

Learning Objectives: - Explain how CMS Quality Measurers are developed and reported - Differentiate MDS-based and claims-based Quality Measures - Identify the MDS items and documentation that triggers and determine root cause - Analyze resident-level QM reports - Interpret CASPER and resident-level QM reports - Develop interdisciplinary strategies to improve Quality Measure performance while maintaining clinical integrity - Understand how Quality Measures affect Five-Star ratings and public reporting
