Slate Jazz Night w/ Kendrik McKinney Trio Sponsored by Sixtwelve

About this event

The 20th floor of the United Founders Tower in Oklahoma City stands as an architectural

monument to mid-century modern confidence, luxury, and artistic expression. Reimagined as

Slate, this iconic landmark now serves as the home for a premier, ticketed monthly concert

series: Slate Jazz Night. Occurring on one Tuesday evening per month, this world-class series is

designed to showcase the profound depth of native jazz talent in Oklahoma, while

simultaneously honoring the legendary pioneers who paved the historical path for this uniquely

American classical music. By combining the sophisticated, panoramic environment of the

Penthouse Lounge with elite acoustic curation, the series delivers a high-fidelity, record-like

listening experience.

While previous iterations of the organizer’s jazz residencies, such as the highly successful, multi-

year weekly run at the 51st Street Speakeasy, the Round Midnight Sunday Concert Series, and

Jazz Night at Okie State Room fostered a vibrant culture, the monthly series at Slate represents a

deliberate pivot toward a premium concert format. Slate Jazz Night is designed as an exclusive,

world-class listening experience that pairs elite artistic talent with a luxury physical environment,

elevating the presentation of the genre to match the standards of major national concert halls.
