  • The National Weather Museum and Science Center in Norman is at risk of closing due to a lack of funding. Director Ross Forsyth said the nonprofit must secure new funds to keep serving the community.  The Norman Transcript

  • OU athletics are looking ahead to 2026 after a standout 2025 when football, basketball and gymnastics teams achieved major milestones—AD Joe Castiglione announced his retirement after 28 years. OU expects key players like Tate Sandell to return and coaching changes to boost the program next season.  The Oklahoman
  • The OU football team in Norman will fire tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley as his five-year stint showed limited growth — the move was reported on Jan. 1 with expectations to drive team improvement.  The Oklahoman
  • The OU women's basketball team defeated Texas A&M 72-50 on Thursday at Reed Arena in College Station to open SEC play (improving their record to 13-1). True freshman Aaliyah Chavez led with 20 points and the team will face Texas A&M again in Norman on Jan. 29.  The Oklahoman
  • OU women's basketball team opened its conference season against Texas A&M on Jan. 1 at 7 p.m. CT at Reed Arena in College Station, with the game broadcast on SECN+ and available via ESPN Unlimited.  The Oklahoman
