  • David Boeck (retired OU professor) opens his first solo art exhibit at Gray Owl Coffee. His show displays sketches and paintings that span from depictions of damaged Ukrainian churches to playful Star Wars characters.  The Norman Transcript

SPORTS NEWS

  • OU is expected to hire Illinois deputy athletic director Roger Denny as its next head in Norman after longtime leader Joe Castiglione announces his retirement in June. Denny brings nearly 15 years of legal experience and will guide a department with 19 varsity sports.  The Oklahoman
  • Jerry Schmidt has shifted to become OU football’s chief of staff while James Dobson is set to take over strength and conditioning; Schmidt, known for squeezing the most out of players during offseason workouts over a 30+ year career, has boosted the team's championship efforts since returning in December 2021.  The Oklahoman
  • The OKC Thunder won by 20 points in Milwaukee on Jan. 21 thanks to a deep bench + strong contributions from backups despite heavy injuries, and they hosted the Pacers on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m., maintaining their top NBA record.
