- ➤ Local musician Bob (Space Dog) Moore died in a house fire at his Slaughterville home, leaving behind a legacy as a Campus Corner staple and mentor to Norman artists, according to Mayor Stephen Tyler Holman’s Facebook post. OU Daily

- ➤ KGOU program director Jim Johnson (host of The Weekend Blues for 30 years) received the Governor’s Media in the Arts Award from the Oklahoma Arts Council during the Governor’s Arts Awards ceremony on Monday, Jan. 26. KGOU
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ OU announced eleven spring commencement ceremonies from May 12 to 17 at the Lloyd Noble Center, with some events in Tulsa and other designated venues. Each ceremony will last around two hours, doors will open 1.5 hours early, and events will be live-streamed the week of the ceremonies. OU Daily

- ➤ OKC Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell was selected to join the NBA Rising Stars Game scheduled for Feb. 13 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
