EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The OU Board of Regents will meet Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art to consider changing the College of International Studies to a school under the College of Arts and Sciences. The change will preserve current programs and staff while streamlining the university structure. OU Daily
- ➤ Oklahoma public schools reported 686,718 students as of Oct. 1, marking a 1.5% decline that amounts to over 10,000 fewer enrollments compared to last year. Norman schools remained stable even as many districts experienced drops statewide. The Oklahoman
- ➤ Oklahoma educators and parents stressed the need for higher teacher wages and smaller classes in a Department of Education survey from November-December, and State Superintendent Lindel Fields presented these views to lawmakers in a recent hearing. OU Daily
