EDUCATION NEWS

  • Oklahoma educational officials proposed a revised version of social studies standards after last year's disputed changes were struck down by the court, and public feedback is accepted through Feb. 18 (the board will vote on March 26 to send the standards to the Legislature).  KGOU

  • Several local restaurants offer Valentine’s Day deals running from today through early March.   • Former Sooners golfer Chris Gotterup won the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale (Arizona) after beating Hideki Matsuyama with a birdie on the first playoff hole. His win marks his second PGA Tour triumph in three starts this season.  News9
