  • OU has appointed Elizabeth (Liz) Karr as vice provost for online education effective April 4 after final Board approval, and she will focus on expanding online access while upholding academic quality.  OU Daily

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oklahoma Gov. Stitt declared a State of Emergency in Beaver, Texas & Woodward counties after wildfires burned more than 155,000 acres and injured firefighters. The 30-day order may extend to additional areas if conditions worsen.  The Oklahoman
  • Gov. Kevin Stitt called on lawmakers to roll back Medicaid expansion — a program that covered over 250,000 residents with affordable health care — and health experts warn the rollback may delay care and raise treatment costs.  The Oklahoman

  • OU is set to hire veteran coach Deland McCullough as its new running backs coach in Norman, replacing DeMarco Murray, with reports confirming his appointment for the upcoming season (he brings NFL and college experience including a Super Bowl win with the Chiefs).  News9
  • At an OSSAA board meeting on Wednesday, officials approved independent football schedules for four high schools for the 2026 and 2027 seasons while denying five others - the change was made after schools struggled with winless records.  The Oklahoman
