- ➤ A new report shows Oklahoma ranks 48th in student learning outcomes nationally, prompting state leaders to consider shifting $254 million+ from the Teachers' Retirement System to fund literacy and math reforms. - ➤ Cleveland County Continuum of Care released its preliminary Jan. 23 homeless count before a winter storm, tallying 165 sheltered and unsheltered individuals+ officials expect the final count to be adjusted after verification while a new shelter proposal on Reed Avenue heads to an April 7 ballot. - ➤ Lawmakers have named a new 28-mile turnpike in the Norman area the Toby Keith Expressway to honor the late country star. Construction is set to begin soon and the roadway will eventually link I-44 to I-40 with completion expected in 2033. The Oklahoman
