EDUCATION NEWS

  • At Tuesday’s meeting, the Undergraduate Student Congress unanimously passed resolutions to protect chalking on campus, honor Women's History Month and Endometriosis Awareness Month, and update its public relations committee. The changes ensure student messages remain a key part of campus life — a win for all.  OU Daily
  • KGOU is giving Gaylord College students hands-on journalism training this spring semester at OU through its Practicum program, where they report news, produce audio and digital media, and update community calendars. The program offers valuable real-world experience to prepare them for future jobs.  KGOU
  • Jackson Oller, a Norman North High School student, earned three congressional nominations for West Point and one for the U.S. Naval Academy, including recognition from Rep. Stephanie Bice, Sen.   • The National Weather Service forecasts severe storms for central Oklahoma, with an enhanced tornado risk, large hail and strong gusts expected Friday afternoon. Earlier, scattered thunderstorms and hail are moving in from western Oklahoma today, and conditions may shift as storms weaken by Friday morning.  The Oklahoman

SPORTS NEWS

  • OU football faces a challenge at linebacker after Owen Heinecke’s extra year eligibility appeal was denied by the NCAA on March 4. The Sooners will rely on veteran starter Kip Lewis, transfer Cole Sullivan, and young talent including Taylor Heim to boost defense next season.  The Oklahoman
