  • On March 25, Oklahoma teachers secured a $2,000 raise after the Senate approved a $92 million measure, which now moves to the House (lawmakers said state budget limits influenced the final amount).  The Oklahoman

  • Governor Kevin Stitt signed an order to lower state flags to half-staff from March 25 until 5 p.m. Saturday to honor firefighters Bryan Jenkins and Todd Pendleton, who died on March 20 when their tanker overturned.  The Oklahoman
  • The Oklahoma Senate passed a $2,000 teacher pay raise (Mar. 25) that totals $92 million after budget talks reduced the original $2,500 proposal, following negotiations with the state House.  The Norman Transcript

  • Kratom, a plant from Southeast Asia used for chronic pain relief, is legal in Oklahoma under the new Kratom Consumer Protection Act — it regulates products to contain less than 1% synthetic kratom.  The Oklahoman

  • OU football began spring practice yesterday at Everest Training Center with new coaches Jason Witten, Deland McCullough and LaMar Morgan joining returning QB John Mateer, while several key players missed drills due to injuries.
