- ➤ More than 40 snake species live in Oklahoma, but only a few like the copperhead, cottonmouth and rattlesnake have venom that can cause serious harm to people and pets. Residents should leave them alone and call 911 immediately if bitten—medical experts say quick treatment is crucial. The Oklahoman

Today the Sooners compete at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN with Auburn, Missouri and Arizona as the top two teams advance to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth from April 17—19. News9
