EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Oklahoma lawmakers advanced education bills to extend school days, shift statewide testing for grades 3–8 to the final four weeks, and limit adjuncts teaching core subjects; changes will take effect in July 2027 if funding thresholds are met (affecting nearly all school districts). - ➤ Norman voters approved an $8 million bond on Tuesday to fund a permanent homeless shelter on Reed Avenue; the 54.25% winning vote of 17,427 ballots will support construction within two years and help City Care provide a low-barrier facility for up to 120 people with nearby services. OU Daily

- ➤ The OKC Thunder defeated the Lakers 123-87 Tuesday night at Crypto.com Arena, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 25 points and eight assists. They will play the Clippers at 9 p.m. CT Wednesday to try to secure the Western top seed. The Oklahoman
- ➤ OU men's basketball opened its transfer portal after the season ended, with players including 7-foot-1 forward Andreas Holst and guard Jeff Nwankwo planning to seek new opportunities.
