EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ OU student Granger Lusk made his directorial debut with The Effect (a medical romance exploring ethical questions in clinical drug trials) at Studio Theatre in the Old Science Hall. The play opened last night and continues today at 7:30 p.m. OU Daily
- ➤ Lawmakers passed a bill to continue the statewide classroom cell phone ban and sent it to the governor’s desk after the State House vote. The measure built on last year's pilot program to restrict phone use during classes while allowing emergencies (teachers said it eased distractions). News9
- ➤ SGA submitted a bill to designate Election Day (Nov. 3) and the Friday before the OU-Texas game (Oct. 9) as fall student holidays, passing it 22-0-1.
