- ➤ Norman Public Schools board members Alex Ruggiers and Annette Price held a town hall on Saturday with about 25 residents to discuss board divisions, a superintendent contract, and new technology in classrooms. - ➤ SEC softball tournament begins Tuesday, May 5 at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington — 15 teams will compete, and the Oklahoma Sooners are the No. 1 seed set to play at 8:00 p.m. ET Thursday against either Georgia or LSU. The Oklahoman
- ➤ The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association released brackets for the 2026 state playoff high school soccer games. A Norman team will compete at Northwest Classen on Monday, May 4 at 7 p.m. + additional matchups run through mid-May. The Oklahoman
- ➤ OKC Thunder will face the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs after both teams advanced from the first round. Analysts say Thunder holds the edge with a deeper bench, homecourt advantage, and more championship experience if key players return healthy. The Oklahoman
