- ➤ Norman Public Schools Board of Education approved the solar project agreement for Whittier Middle School—with 598 panels that will generate over half the school’s energy and a potential $1.92 million benefit—and unanimously rejected the Oklahoma Teacher Empowerment Program at Monday's meeting. The board also received updates on Kennedy Elementary School renovations—which include a new classroom, restrooms, and a STEAM room with construction set to begin May 2026. OU Daily

- ➤ Norman supporters of the Rock Creek Entertainment District plan filed a brief with the Oklahoma Supreme Court on April 28 arguing that the Cleveland County judge’s February decision was invalid because the petition had 10,689 certified signatures, far exceeding the required 6,098. They requested an en banc oral argument—so that all judges hear the case—as the proposal is said to potentially harm city finances, county funds, and Norman Public Schools. OU Daily
