  • City officials announced Friday that a colorful van under the A Better Way program will soon drive through Norman to offer paid work cleaning streets and connect homeless residents with case managers for housing and healthcare. The program is a joint effort with the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma and will provide a meal during each shift.  The Norman Transcript

  • Cellphone scams targeting seniors have increased as scammers use urgent calls and fake tech support to pressure quick money transfers—putting vulnerable savings at risk. Local law enforcement will host a Fraud Prevention Conference at Metro Tech District Center on June 13, 20, and 27 to teach seniors ways to protect their finances—emphasizing secure PINs and family code words.  The Oklahoman
  • Norman police recovered 34 firearms following an investigation of a break-in on the 200 block of East Haddock Street Monday and arrested suspects connected to the incident—officials have not released further details.  The Norman Transcript

  • Attorney General Gentner Drummond filed a complaint against CVS Pharmacy yesterday, alleging the chain charged higher prices on Medicaid prescriptions than those offered to the general public from 2016 to 2022. The case, joined by Indiana, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, claims CVS violated the state False Claims Act to recover taxpayer funds.  News9
