  • Norman North High student Wren Hobbs uses UV Bird Divert to make clear glass visible to birds and help stop window collisions at school. They gathered over 900 signatures and worked with district leaders—hoping new rules will better protect birds.  News9

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Friday, May 23rd, OU softball beat Alabama 3-0—Sam Landry pitched a complete-game shutout with only four hits and five strikeouts. The Sooners got run support from a two-run home run by Kasidi Pickering and an RBI single by Sydney Barker—leaving them needing one more win to advance to the Women's College World Series as they head into today's game at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN.  News9
  • Today at 2 p.m., the Sooners will host Alabama in the Super Regional softball game at Love’s Field in Norman, marking the event's first appearance in the new facility—head coach Patty Gasso said the storied rivalry has pushed both teams to excel in past matchups.  News9
  • Legendary Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso has a coaching tree with seven former players or assistants now running Division I programs, and three of her proteges are competing in this week's Super Regionals of the NCAA tournament.
