ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lake Thunderbird's renovated 13.78 miles of multi-use trails are now open for public use. The upgrade was funded with $1M in ARPA funds (in partnership with the Cleveland County Economic Development Coalition, Cleveland County Board of Commissioners, Visit Norman and the Bureau of Reclamation) to provide a refreshed outdoor space for locals. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Norman City Council approved the Islamic Society of Norman’s rezoning request during its Tuesday meeting for a youth center west of its mosque on Lindsey Street, which will feature a gym, classrooms and extra parking. The project will support local youth programs. The Norman Transcript
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ After the federal government stopped funding fentanyl test strips, the Department of Mental Health is re-evaluating its OK I'm Ready program that mailed kits to residents. Test strips are still available through community groups and treatment providers. KGOU

- ➤ Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell remains sidelined with a right soleus strain and will miss Game 6 tonight against the Spurs at 7:30 p.m. in San Antonio (Jalen Williams is questionable with a left hamstring issue) as OKC holds a 3-2 series lead. The Oklahoman
