- ➤ Norman's Mission Hope Pantry expanded into a new $1.3 million facility built by more than 400 volunteers that began serving 500 to 700 families monthly on June 26th. The pantry uses a client-choice shopping model and also provides assistance with rent and other essential needs. News9

- ➤ University of Oklahoma senior Mohamed Elgouhari was named a finalist in the SEC Start Up competition for his gamified rehab app Gametime Rehab that helps injured athletes stay motivated in recovery. He developed the app through an OU accelerator and will begin pilot testing it this fall. News9
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, more than half of Oklahoma’s public colleges requested tuition hikes for the upcoming school year with 15 institutions asking for increases averaging 1.9 percent while 10 did not – state regents voted on the proposals on Thursday and college leaders said the hikes were needed to cover rising costs such as inflation and higher health insurance expenses.
