  • Thousands are expected to gather at Tinker Air Force Base today for a revamped air show featuring the Thunderbirds — their first performance in Oklahoma since 2019 — along with the Air Force Drill Team and Band. The event starts at 8 a.m. today and Sunday, and visitors can also check out parked airplanes while rain plans are in place.  News9
  • Tinker Air Force Base is preparing for the Tinker Air Show this weekend with today’s gates opening at 8 a.m. and aerial demonstrations starting at 11 a.m. US Air Force Thunderbirds pilots, including Lt. Col. Ian Lee, are finalizing their routines for their first Oklahoma exhibition in five years — the event is expected to draw thousands of spectators.  News9

  • Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education approved tuition and fee hikes for 15 public colleges on June 27th, raising rates by an average of 1.9% — just over $121 a year for resident students. College presidents noted rising costs such as inflation and increased insurance, while new state funds helped keep all fees below the legislative threshold.  KGOU

  • Proposed Medicaid cuts in Oklahoma have community advocates warning that optional supports like in-home care for seniors and people with disabilities are at risk—if funding drops, over 7,000 disabled individuals and 25,000 seniors may lose essential services.
