  • Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash on I-44 near SW 149th Street on Saturday morning when a white truck hit an SUV from behind and flipped over—trapping a 10-year-old and two adults who were later taken to a local hospital for minor injuries as crews cleared the road.  News9

  • Norman police arrested Michael Schmidt (42) on Saturday, August 9th at 11:40 a.m. after a nearly month-long search for the suspect accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint and stealing her vehicle outside a CVS near 36th Avenue Northwest and Robinson, and he faces charges (robbery and firearm possession complaints).  News9

EDUCATION NEWS

  • OSU student Josie Kohn became the first person with Down syndrome to join the Inasmuch Foundation Community Fellowship and started a summer internship with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma—she learned leadership skills and attended business events. Her internship ended this week and she plans to return next summer to continue her work with DSACO.  The Oklahoman
