  • A new group of Ukrainian surgeons will begin training at OU Health this fall in the Operation Ukraine program—the sixth cohort to participate, with the program teaching head and neck surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery and trauma surgery.  The Norman Transcript

  • The Pride of Oklahoma did not travel to Philadelphia for the OU football game against Temple due to budget constraints—St. Joseph's University pep band filled in during the contest.  The Oklahoman
  • OU coach Brent Venables praised running back Tory Blaylock for his performance as he ran for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns on 14 carries during the Sooners' 42—3 win against Temple.  The Oklahoman
  • OU freshman running back Tory Blalock said his early preparation helped him excel when the Sooners routed Temple—boosting his promise for upcoming games.  The Oklahoman
  • OU football player Kendel Dolby said playing backyard football propelled the Sooners' defense—he added that this informal practice is part of a new training approach to improve team play this season.  The Oklahoman
  • OU defensive end R Mason Thomas was ejected on Saturday after a targeting call in the Temple game—he will miss the first half of the Auburn matchup on Sept. 20 at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.  The Oklahoman
  • OU true freshman running back Tory Blaylock rushed for a career-high 100 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 42 to 3 win over Temple, and he led the team with 166 yards and three touchdowns this season.
