- ➤ Friends of the Norman Library is hosting its annual fall book sale from today to Sept 28 at 1042 N. Flood Ave.—The sale is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Norman Transcript

- ➤ OU dedicated McCasland Hall on Tuesday—honoring a $10 million donation from the McCasland Foundation—and the new hall now houses roughly 560 students with a second building scheduled to open in fall. OU Daily
- ➤ Ryan Walters resigned as Oklahoma State Superintendent and will become CEO of the Teacher Freedom Alliance, which offers educators free support as an alternative to union membership. He said he will fight union influence and give teachers real freedom— a goal backed by the Freedom Foundation. News9

- ➤ Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters resigned on Wednesday to become CEO of the Teacher Freedom Alliance and will begin his new role on Oct. 1—his term was marked by controversies including clashes with Norman Public Schools and criticisms from state officials.
