- ➤ Guardian 2.0, Oklahoma's new campaign finance website, has been offline since Sept. 19 as officials work on technical fixes and secure data conversion before restoring access. Lee Anne Bruce Boone said candidates and lobbyists will not face penalties—campaign reports are due Oct. 31 and lobbyist disclosures Oct. 15 while records can be requested directly. The Oklahoman

- ➤ OU receiver Keontez Lewis crashed into an unpadded brick wall during Saturday's game against Kent State at Owen Field—he was taken off for testing and later seen walking in the training room as coaches said improvements to the wall's padding will be made for future games. The Oklahoman
- ➤ On October 4th, OU improved to 5-0 with a 44-0 shutout win against Kent State—Michael Hawkins threw touchdown passes to Isaiah Sategna and Kaden Helms while OU also recorded three Tate Sandell field goals, a defensive score off an R Mason Thomas strip sack, and provided a positive update on Keontez Lewis. - ➤ One of One Girls Flag Football Club is giving local girls a chance to join football and earn college scholarships ahead of the 2028 Olympics—club founder and head coach Shamiel Gary said the program fills a gap in local sports by offering teams for different age groups. 9th-grade quarterback Natalie Lopez explained the club builds players' confidence and prepares them for future games.
