- ➤ Several Oklahoma high school marching bands are competing in Indianapolis at the Bands of America Grand National Championships. Broken Arrow performed on November 13 and Yukon, Southmoore, and Jenks are performing today—final rounds will be held tomorrow at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Oklahoman
- ➤ Life.Church’s YouVersion Bible App reached 1 billion installs worldwide—faster than expected—and will be celebrated at Paycom Center on November 17 with many watching online and in person. - ➤ After Congress reopened the government this week, food pantries in Oklahoma City and other areas saw high demand as SNAP benefits resumed partially (help is still limited) due to lingering funding delays. Local agencies and tribal programs are giving out food boxes and asking for donations (state funds support extra supplies) as many residents continue to struggle with food insecurity. KGOU

- ➤ The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services has purchased a vacant hospital in south OKC to replace Norman’s Griffin Memorial Hospital—planning phased renovations that will offer 32 mental health beds by the end of December. The $60 million project, funded with ARPA dollars, will replace at least 120 beds—expanding behavioral health services for the community. The Oklahoman
