EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ OU Undergraduate Student Congress changed the runoff procedure to let the Graduate Student Senate choose the winner in a tied SGA election last month—since no candidate won over 50%—and launched a survey on class supplies using OU Qualtrics that runs from November 19 to December 12. The survey will help determine which supplies need to be more accessible for students. OU Daily
- ➤ OU's Norman and Health campuses announced the merger of their graduate colleges and the integration of their university libraries on Wednesday. The new OU Graduate College will begin at the start of the spring semester under Norman's leadership (bringing together libraries from multiple campuses to support cross-campus programs). OU Daily
- ➤ Oklahoma School for the Blind students from Norman and Noble won awards at the Cane Quest competition earlier this month as fourth grader Lysanna Hardwick earned the Top Scouts award by demonstrating cane and guide skills on the OSB campus. The Norman Transcript

- ➤ Construction has started at Crimson Flats—an affordable housing project with 75 units—at the northeast corner of Imhoff Road and Oakhurst Avenue. A $5 million city loan and $14.5 million in tax credits will fund the project, which is set to be completed in 2026. OU Daily

- ➤ The Oklahoma Sooners were ranked No. 8 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, marking the highest ranking in the Brent Venables era. If the season ended today, they would host No. 9 Notre Dame in the first round as the committee favored Oregon’s one loss over Oklahoma’s two losses — even though OU earned more wins against ranked teams.
