The Oklahoma Sooners defeated the LSU Tigers in their regular-season finale on November 29 at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium when they shut out the Tigers 17 to 0 to boost their College Football Playoff hopes.

OU beat LSU 17-13 on Saturday as explosive plays from Isaiah Sategna III and a strong defense kept the Sooners in contention for a College Football Playoff berth — a win that came despite offensive struggles.

The defense held LSU to 198 yards and forced turnovers to control the game.

OU coach Brent Venables said offensive lineman Jake Maikkula spent several days in the hospital with an infection after missing the LSU game — he is much improved and his return will be reviewed soon.
