Good morning, Norman.

OU placed a graduate student instructor on leave after a student filed an illegal discrimination claim following a failing Bible-based essay grade on November 30.

University officials said they began a formal review and grade appeals process—while Governor Stitt urged the regents to check the investigation—ensuring no further harm to the student.

The OU football team held its No.8 ranking in the Coaches and AP Polls released on Nov.30 after a 10-2 season that saw the team avoid an upset by LSU.

The team will await its College Football Playoff fate — a crucial next step in a hard-fought season.

OU football added 2027 wide receiver Tra'Von Hall to its team after he chose the Sooners over Auburn, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver from Central High School (Tuscaloosa) becomes the ninth commit in a strong recruiting class.

Lane Kiffin resigned from Ole Miss on Sunday to coach LSU, and OU will face two schools with new head coaches in 2026 (Ole Miss will be led by Pete Golding and Florida will hire a new coach) while Kentucky’s coaching future remains unclear.

The Oklahoma City Spark will hold its AUSL expansion and allocation draft tonight to build a team that values teamwork over signing too many former OU players.

General Manager Kirk Walker said he will choose players based on skill and character—preparing the team for a future championship.
