CULTURE NEWS

  • Three Norman residents are set to be honored as part of the 46th Oklahoma Governor’s Arts Awards. The awards will be presented by Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell and Oklahoma Arts Council members in January 2026 to recognize their contributions to the arts.  The Norman Transcript

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Dec. 7, the Clippers announced that Chris Paul is no longer on the team, prompting debate about whether the Thunder should adjust their roster. Experts say the veteran point guard is unlikely to join the Thunder since his minutes are limited by current starters.  The Oklahoman
  • OU football beat writer Colton Sulley and columnist Joe Mussatto discussed the upcoming College Football Playoff first round rematch with Alabama during the SoonersXtra podcast. OU will host the game on campus, and fans are eager to see the rematch.  The Oklahoman
  • OU football gained the commitment of four-star defensive lineman Elija Harmon from Inglewood on Dec. 7, 2025, shortly after punching its ticket into the College Football Playoff.
