- ➤ Americana rocker Beau Jennings will perform his former band Cheyenne’s debut album in full for its 20th anniversary on January 10 at The Blue Door in Oklahoma City, offering fans a chance to reconnect with his early work alongside his evolved sound. KGOU
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Holdyn Hensley, also known as UK Guy, wore a British-themed outfit to raise awareness about OU's Sooner Works program (which supports students with disabilities) and challenge assumptions about autism. The program offers courses, internships and social events to help students gain independent living skills. OU Daily
- ➤ OU's AAUP chapter requested that the university explain the suspension of teaching assistant Mel Curth after he gave a failing grade to a student whose essay mentioned the Bible (an incident prompting calls for his reinstatement). The university said a review is underway. News9

- ➤ OU assistant professor June Zhao proposed an Indian Health Service trust fund to close a $100 million funding gap by using a model from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Trust Fund to raise $1 billion in principal and generate interest revenue. The plan aims to improve Native health care. KGOU
