Norman’s 39th annual Christmas dinner is set for Dec.
25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Norman High School cafeteria, where residents will share a festive meal and enjoy live Christmas music—volunteer and donation opportunities are also available. OU students and locals are invited to join in the celebration.

Bullseye is now open on the OKANA Resort boardwalk with axe throwing, darts, mini golf gaming and custom cocktails alongside elevated bar food.

🎓 Education
Yesterday, the Oklahoma Supreme Court permanently nullified social studies standards that introduced unannounced revisions questioning the 2020 election and COVID-19, finding that state open meeting laws were violated during their Feb.
27 approval. The state superintendent said current 2019 standards will stay in effect until new guidelines are developed.

Monday, Cleveland County’s Recreational and Entertainment Facilities Authority accepted two proposals for a multi-purpose arena for OU and a new parking garage at Rock Creek Entertainment District in Norman – paying Hunden Partners $80,000 during the meeting.

OU football officials confirmed that public playoff tickets sold out on Tuesday, Dec.
9, after an early access window for season ticket holders and students; resale pairs are now available on SeatGeek starting at $160 (with some seats near $2,000) for the historic playoff game against Alabama.
Owen Heinecke advanced from a walk-on to a scholarship player for OU football after a season of hard work on special teams plus defense; he will take the field in Friday’s College Football Playoffs against Alabama in Norman.
